Does Medicare cover the cost of hearing testing and hearing aids?

Medicare pays for the majority of the test and supplemental insurance usually covers the remainder.  Medicare requires a referral from your primary care physician before they will pay. 

Medicare does NOT pay anything towards hearing aids at this time.  Some supplemental insurance policies do have hearing aid coverage. Please check with your supplemental insurance company to determine if you have this coverage
